Textile Observatory

TEXTILE OBSERVATORY
The Textile and Fashion Observatory is an entity created by the ModaEspaña Confederation and the Spanish Inter-textile Council to promote the transformation of the sector based on the principles of sustainability, circularity and decarbonization, in line with the European 2030 strategies.
Its objectives are to work as a guide and strategic driver for companies in the sector to understand and adapt to the legislative changes underway, ensuring the competitiveness, innovation and reputational image of the industry, fostering public-private collaboration to facilitate their transition.
Among its main projects are the development of improvements in the industry’s competitiveness, the introduction of eco-design solutions, traceability and industrial processes, and the establishment of systems for the collection, sorting and preparation of waste recycling, among other initiatives.
It also leads a transformation committee, composed of working groups of executives from member organizations, companies and entities to prepare proposals and dialogue with public administrations on regulations and lines of action and to identify, classify and coordinate “type” projects aligned with European programs such as PERTE for the circular economy, PERTE for the integral water cycle and PERTE for decarbonization.
